The Swoosh logo on either side of the shoe displays black trim and a black embroidered “Nike” logo is stitched onto the heel. The motorsports inspired “58” insignia on the lateral heel and tongue is rumored to be a reference to Club 58, a skate shop that may have played a hand in creating the design of the “Gulf.” Thick black laces are layered over a puffy Blue Chill mesh tongue and a white midsole and orange outsole further the model ‘s association to the German race car.
